THE HEADER
The Convos Header

The dark gray bar at the top of the screen is the Convos header. The header contains the controls you will use to manage your overall Convos experience and account settings. This includes the following:
- Connections - A place to manage pending group invitations
- Directory - Search for public groups to join on Convos
- ? - Contact our support team directly or visit the Help Center
- Upgrade - Learn more about upgrade options (disabled for Beta)
- Account - Manage your subscription level, upgrades, and billing information (disabled for Beta)
- Settings - Manage your Convos system-wide settings such as password and message forwarding
- Log Out - Log out of your Convos account and return to our homepage
THE LEFT NAVIGATION PANEL
Left Navigation | My Convos & My Groups
When you first log in to Convos, you will be in My Convos and the My Convos toggle button on the top left of the screen is pressed. Directly below the My Convos button is a section titled My Groups. Here you will notice a list of groups you belong to.
To access a group, simply click the group's name in your My Groups list. The list of modules in the left navigation and the middle panel content will change.
To switch back to My Convos at any time, simply click the My Convos button on the top left of the screen.
Left Navigation | Start a Group
Directly below the My Groups list is the green "Start a Group" button. To start your own Convos group, simply click this button and the group setup pop-up will appear.
Left Navigation | Selecting Modules
When you login to Convos, your personal Messages and Schedule modules will be open by default. If you want to only see your personal Messages, disable the Schedule module by clicking it. The Schedule module will be disabled in the left navigation and your Schedule will no longer appear in the middle panel.
You can have up to 4 modules open at once. When you open a 5th module, the module that was first opened will be deactivated. You can prevent modules from being deactivated by using the lock icon in each module.
Left Navigation | Group Administration
When you select a group where you are a group administrator, the Group Administration panel will appear below the group modules list.
This will allow you to easily manage the group's membership, settings, and upgrades.
THE MIDDLE PANEL
Middle Panel | Data Grids
When you select modules in the left navigation, their contents appear in the middle panel in the form of Data Grids. Data Grids are lists of the items contained in a module. Each column in a Data Grid can be sorted to help you locate a specific item.
When you click a specific item, it will appear in the viewer to the right.
Middle Panel | Creating New Items
At the top left of the middle panel, you will notice a green Personal Items dropdown button. This button allows you to create a personal item. When you select a group, you will see a Group Item to the right of the Personal Item button to create new group items.
If you are a group administrator, you will be able to create any group item. If you are a group moderator, you will be able to create any group item that you have privileges for.
Middle Panel | Deleting Items
At the top right of the middle panel, you will notice a red "Delete Items" button. This button will allow you to delete items that have been selected in the middle panel.
To delete items, simply click the checkbox located in the leftmost column of each item in the middle panel. Then, click the red "Delete Items" button.
Note: The "Delete Items" button is always displayed when you are in MyConvos. When you are in a group where you are a group administrator or group moderator, you will also see this button. Group moderators are only allowed to delete items where they have the appropriate privileges and group members are not allowed to delete any items in a group.
THE VIEWER
The ViewerThe rightmost panel is called the Viewer. Anytime you select an item in the middle panel or create a new item, it will appear in the Viewer.
The Viewer | Using Tabs
To make it easier to open and view multiple items, we designed a simple tabbing feature. Below is an overview of how you can use tabs in the Viewer.
When you first login to Convos, there will be a tab for the Convos Welcome Page.
When you select an item from a module in the middle panel, it will appear in this first tab. Here we have selected a group event titled "Team Dinner".
To make an item in the first tab appear in its own dedicated tab, simply click the pin icon.
A tab for this item will be added to the right.
The Viewer | Resizing Panels
Depending on what you're looking at in the Viewer or modules, you may want to increase or decrease their width.
To resize these panels, move your mouse over the control, hold down your mouse button, and drag the the left or right.
The Viewer | Switching Views
To quickly maximize the display area of the middle panel or the Viewer, you can use these controls located at the bottom right of the interface. Click the right arrow to maximize the middle panel. Click the left arrow to maximize the Viewer panel. Or click the center button to return to the 3-pane view.
