START A GROUP | OVERVIEW
Convos was designed to use groups as a universal tool for organizing people and information. This section covers the various topics you will encounter when setting up your first group.
Push the Green Button to Start
Creating a new group is always one click away. To create your first group, simply click "Start a Group". A pop-up window will display the General Tab as shown below.
Group Setup Tabs
In addition to the General tab, there are 3 additional tabs that contain additional setup options for your group new group. Click the links below to learn more about each.
General - Enter the basic information about your group
Group Type - Select your group's privacy and messaging platform settings
Member Profiles - Setup fields that members fill out when they join
Directory -Allow others to find your group in the Convos Directory
Hint: How to setup a Group in 10 Seconds
You can quickly create a new group just by entering a Group Name, Group ID / Email, and clicking "Save & Close". This will create a new Private Listserv group with the information entered in the General tab.
It's great when you quickly need to set up a group and start inviting members to join.
