THE BASICS | YOUR SETTINGS
Settings, located in the top right of Convos, contains the basic controls to manage your Convos experience.
When you click "Settings", a pop-up window that allows you to modify your settings will be displayed.
An Overview of Settings
Change your first name / last name
At the top of left of the Convos interface, your name appears next to the Convos logo. If you would like to change this, simply update the First Name and Last Name fields and click "Save & Close".
Message Routing
All Convos messages are routed to an email address of your choosing. When you sign up for Convos, the email address you used to sign up with is where your messages will be routed to.
You can always choose to route your messages to a different email address by first verifying the email address and selecting it here. See below for how to verify additional email addresses.
Receive updates from Convos
Periodically, we'll want to let you know about new Convos features, scheduled maintenance, and other Convos announcements. With this checkbox checked, you will be on our list of people to receive Convos communications via email.
Our list is for Convos to reach out to our users only. We will, under no circumstance, distribute your email address to anyone.If you do not wish to receive any email updates from the Convos team, uncheck this box.
Verified email addresses
If you use more than one email address, Convos allows you to enter all of your email addresses, verify that they are yours, and associate them with your Convos account.
This is a great way to make sure that group invites that are sent to you are all associated with one account.
Verifying additional email addresses allows you to:
- Set which email address your Convos messages should be routed to
- Receive group invites when an invite is sent to any of your verified email addresses
- Send messages to your groups from any verified email address
How to add and verify additional email addresses
STEP 1: From the settings screen, click the "+" button in the Verified Email Addresess section
STEP 2: Enter the email address you want to add and click "OK". Convos will send an email to this address containing a verification code. When you receive the email, highlight and copy the verification code.
STEP 3: In Settings, select the unverified email address and click "Verify". Paste the verification code you received via email into the text box and click "Verify".
Now this email address is verified and you can select this email address in your "Forward all messages to:" dropdown.
Any subsequent group invites sent to this email address will be associated with this account.
Change your password
From Settings, you can change the password you use to login to Convos.Simply enter your current password, then enter your desired password and confirm your entry.
When you click "Update", your Convos password will be changed. You will use this password the next time you login to Convos.
Help! I can't remember my password.
If you ever forget your Convos login password, you can request a new, temporary password on the Convos homepage. Simply click "FORGET", enter your email address you used to signup with Convos and we'll send you a verification email with a link to send you a new password. You can then update your password here in Settings.
