GROUP MODULES | OVERVIEW
Every Group Gets...
Every group on Convos comes with easy-to-use modules that allow you to interact, plan, and share with your group members. When you select a group in the My Groups list, the group's modules will display with the Messages, Schedule, and Pages modules open by default. Click on the links below to learn more about each of the modules.
Group Messages - A central inbox containing all group messages
Group Schedule - A central agenda containing group events
Group Tasks - A central list of to-do items assigned to group members
Photos & Files - A central repository of a group's photos and files
Pages - A central list of custom pages created by group admins and moderators
Member Directory (optional) - A central list of group members and profiles
Items to Approve - A central list of group messages awaiting approval
Creating New Group Items
As a group administrator with your group selected, simply use the green Group Item dropdown to create a new group Message, Event, Task, Page, or upload a File / Photo.
If you would like to allow other group members to be able to create new group items, you will need to set them as a group administrator or a moderator with the appropriate privileges. To learn more about how to set a member to a group administrator or moderator, click here.
Deleting Group Items
Items contained in your group can be deleted at any time by group administrators and moderators (with appropriate privileges).
There are two ways to delete items - from the middle panel and from the viewer.
Deleting Items from the Middle Panel
With group modules open in the middle panel, you can select one or multiple items using the checkbox (the leftmost column).
Then, simply click the red "Delete Items" button.
All selected items will be deleted from your group.
Deleting Items from the Middle Panel
With a particular item open in the viewer, you can delete the item by pressing the "Delete" button in the top portion of the viewer. This will remove the specific item from your group.
Selecting Group Modules
Instead of having to switch from page to page to find group information, Convos allows you to have multiple modules open at once. Upon selecting a group, the Messages, Schedule, and Pages modules will be open by default in the middle panel.
You can open additional modules (up to 4) and have them displayed in the middle panel. When you select a 5th module, the first module that was opened will be deselected automatically.
To prevent a module from being deselected, click the lock icon on the right side of the module name.
