GROUP MODULES | PHOTOS & FILES
Group Files & Photos are a simple way for group administrators or moderators (with Photo & File access) to upload, share, and store files, photos, and audio files in a central location. With folders, you can organize group files and members can easily view / download these files to their computer for offline use.

From Group Items drop down
To upload a file or photo, simply click the "Group Item" dropdown.
A pop-up will display allowing you to select a file from your local machine and upload it to your group's storage.
From the Photo & File module
With the Photos & Files module open in the middle panel for your group, you'll notice an "Upload" button. To upload a file, simply click this button and a pop-up allowing you to select a file from your local machine will display.
When your photo or file is uploaded to the group, it will be displayed in the Photos & Files module in the center panel.
You can modify the Title of the file and add a simple description to let your members know what the file is.
The Upload Window
When uploading a file, you are presented with a pop-up that allows you to select files from your computer and add them to the group.
To add files, simply click the "Add files" button. A window will open allowing you to browse your computer for files that you wish to place in the group.

Note: If you wish to add files to a particular folder, you can use the controls on the left side of the upload window to create a new folder, modify an existing folder, and select which folder your files will be added to.
Organizing with Folders
Every group's Files Module comes with the ability to organize files into folders. By default, every group has a main folder where subfolders are added to. You can modify the name of your main folder or any subfolder at any time.
Additionally, you'll notice the first item in the folders list is "All Files". This allows you to see an aggregated view of all files stored in your group's storage.
To add a folder, simply click the "+" button at the bottom left of the Group Files module.

A small pop-up appears allowing you to give your folder a name. This can be changed at any time by selecting the folder and clicking "rename".

With the new folder created, you can expand / collapse your group's folder strucure.

Viewing files in the middle panel
There are two views for files in the middle panel - grid and thumbnail. The grid view allows you to see lists of files and their attributes whereas the thumbnail view allows you to see icons of files. All image files are presented as a thumbnail of the actual image, all audio files are presented as a music icon, and all other files are presented as a document icon.
To switch between grid view and thumbnail view, simply click the toggle button at the top right of the Group Files module.

You can also place comments for each version to keep track of additional details. All versions of a file are available for download even when versioning is disabled.
