WELCOME TO THE CONVOS LABS
A PREVIEW OF WHAT WE ARE WORKING ON AT CONVOS.COM
IN PROGRESS: Login Widget
Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 10:48AM
If you already have a group website and use Convos as a supplement to help manage you're group, you'll love this simple feature we're working on.
You take a snippet of code, add it to any website, and a Convos login box will appear. You and your members can log into your account right from there. No need to go to www.convos.com to login!
IN PROGRESS: File enhancements
Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 01:20PM We're working on new features to make uploading, viewing, and accessing group files on Convos much more fluid. This includes the following:
- Uploading multiple files at once
- Giving files titles and descriptions
- Automatic resizing of photos based on the size of your screen
- A new way of accessing group files in the middle panel
and more...
Stay tuned as we'll update this post with screenshots and progress updates.
IN PROGRESS: RSVP from email
Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 01:17PM We're adding links to group event RSVP notification emails that allow recipients to set their RSVP status right from the email. Stay tuned as we'll be sharing our progress as we are building this feature.
NOW LIVE: Port 8080 to Port 80
Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 02:59PM On Monday, we'll kickoff our next large enhancement. This will be to improve the accessibility of Convos from networks that restrict their user's from using port 8080. This is similar to how some employees cannot access Instant Messenger from work
Once updated, everone will have the opportunity to utilize all aspects of Convos from networks that restrict this port.

We recently cleaned up the pop-up window where a group admin can edit member privileges and profile information. On the tab titled "Privileges" you can select from 3 roles and view the privileges of each. Here we have made Jake an Admin and he has full privileges.
By default all, new members of a group have Member privileges. You can make them a Moderator (with select privileges) or an Admin (with all privileges)
Additionally, one can modify a member's group profile by clicking the "Profile" tab. Here, an admin can update any group profile fields.
To the left is a screenshot of what the new pop-up looks like.
